Thursday evening reflections
Some excerpts...
We all woke up early in the morning to go for morning prayer. That was about five minutes long and after we had breakfast. It was really yummy because we had a cooked breakfast.
Chloe Su.
For breakfast we had choice of loads of things like waffles, beans, toast, yogurts and more; for lunch we had sandwiches like tuna and cheese etc.; and for dinner we had pizza, chips or pasta and jacket potatoes. I really liked it.
Chloe Sk.
I went rock climbing and canoeing. I just love it here and we even went to the old Borwick Hall and we even went in this maze under the stairs. It was really dark and hard. We have been having the best time of our lives and the food is outstanding- you get a choice but the best thing I reckon is the climbing.
Cyrus
Today we got helmets after our breakfast then got our harnesses on and then started climbing. We learnt how to spot and started side climbing and this caveish thing and the high wall. Then we went to the leap of faith and had to jump off the top and hit a ball.
Chelsea
On Thursday I did canoeing and rock climbing. Canoeing was very, very hard with Mrs Denham failing seven driving tests. Rock climbing was a hard challenge. We climbing a small, slanted and straight wall then we climbed a bigger wall and, for the final one, a 25ft tall pole.
James
First we went rock climbing and I was really high!! Secondly I went on the leap of faith and I am scared of heights!! The finally we went canoeing... Yaay- Katie's team won twice and I WAS IN THE TEAM.
Aimee
Today I went canoeing. We went caving and it was scary, really dark so I went back out of the caving. After the assault wall we had some food; it was pizza, chips salad and for desert I had flapjack.
Shannon
Got up at 7.20am then had breakfast. Went climbing up a pole then jumped for a ball. Then went canoeing then went for dinner. Forgot to say, Katie cried on the pole.
Lee
Our first activities today were rock climbing and crawling through a pitch black cave. Not long afterwards we did teh leap of faith which was hard to get your balance. And Katie was crying when she was getting ready to go up.

Thursday, my favourite day so far. I went canoeing at first which cheered me after getting up at twenty past eight- if you're wondering why it was because a person was snoring! But that was last night. Now let me move on... the one bit that petrified me was the most extreme challenge, the Leap of Faith! Even though I was terrified my friends encouraged me enough. I did go up and, trembling in fear, I jumped. It was a breathtaking moment for me.

Thursday evening- Jack's day
Today I attempted the leap of faith and it was epic! However, I did not manage to jump from the top because I lost courage. All the same, I loved the experience which was very exciting. My medical history thus far:
sore throat;
hacking cough;
fever- high temperature;
trapped finger;
bloodshed knee;
splintered thumb;
eight blisters;
bumped bum;
bleeding lip;
damaged hip.
But apart from the above, I never felt better.

Wednesday evening
When we arrived at Borwick Hall, we got a fire drill number (mine's 22) and teams too. Eventually we found our rooms and got a tour around this excellent place! After that we discovered three challenges.
Lucy
Today we got given our rooms and put in groups 1, 2 and 3 and did activities. Our group did team challenges; balancing on a weird see-saw, a treasure hunt, and a big jenga game where we weren't allowed to touch the grass and needed to move it to the other block.
Kieran G.
We went in a tunnel. I was the first one out then I helped people get out. It was ace. I really enjoyed it and when we had to balance the big see-saw with all my team.
Courtney
As soon as we got here, we had lunch. Then we went to get some waterproof pants and coats. After that we went on a big seesaw and had to balance it for 20 seconds. It was very hard because there were a lot of us. Then we had to work together to get over a big wall- it was also hard.
Ethan
Today I went climbing and jumped the leap of faith. It was the first time I've climbed over 20 feet. For tea we had sausages and chips and I ate it all. Then we had a game of Articulate- we came 3rd.
Oliver
Today we did climbing after arriving. It was fun climbing the wall and then the 25ft pole which we had to jump off-only me and Boycey and Casey got to the top!
George
Today I did the leap of faith- it was well cool! I would love to do it again! I love jumping from high distances (as long as I don't break my leg!!!) Then we played a song game then a guessing game that was fun toooo! Today has been GREAT!
Casey
On Wednesday we went in a pitch-black tunnel and on a treasure hunt (you didn't win any treasure). We played football and manhunt in our free time. The boys are sleeping in the West Wing and the girls in the East Wing.

Well the day has finally arrived and we're off amidst great excitement.! Only 15 minutes late setting off so we should be at Borwick before midday. Mr Kennedy thinks this could be a long day for the teachers...

Getting ready
With less than a week to go, we're getting ready for Borwick! For me this includes my first foray into the world of blogging. All being well, the blog should keep everyone back home informed about what we've been up to. Fingers crossed that the technology all works...
